Sara Kirby is the founder of Loyalty Cottage Studio, a hand-printed textile studio based in Hampshire, United Kingdom. With a background spanning industry practice, academic teaching, and postgraduate study, she founded Loyalty Cottage following a career as a textile designer and educator. The studio produces hand-printed fabrics and textile products to order, with bespoke design and colour sampling services for private and commercial clients.

Textiles Inspired by Wildflowers - the studio's stated positioning - reflects a nature-informed aesthetic grounded in hand-drawn line and screen-printed texture. The portfolio features print work rooted in botanical and floral references, with colour practice developed through traditional screen-printing. Work is produced in limited editions; each piece described as unique and individual.

Screen-printing is the primary method. Every design begins as a hand-drawn line, then translated to screen for printing. Water-based pigment dyes are individually mixed; fabrics are natural fibres (cotton and linen) sourced in England. Production is fully in-house - including a darkroom and a purpose-built print table. Hand-sewing and bespoke packaging are also carried out at the studio.

Home textiles - napkins, tea-towels, cushions, aprons, bags, and bespoke fabric lengths for home furnishings. Wedding and occasion tableware (personalised napkins, made to order). Branded promotional textiles for clients' specifications. Bespoke colour sampling service for interior design schemes. Accepts direct commissions and fabric made to order.

Trained at Manchester Polytechnic, with a course focused on drawing, painting, and mixing colour from observation. After graduation, received a "Designer into Industry" bursary from The Royal Society of Arts. First industry position: setting up a colour-sampling studio using designs from the Sundour and Edinburgh Weavers archive. Subsequent career included originating artwork, colour sampling, liaising with textile and wallpaper mills, developing archival document designs into co-ordinated collections, and launching new products at international trade shows including Decorex and Heimtex. Holds an MA in Design History. Also worked as a textile design educator. Founded Loyalty Cottage following industry and teaching career.
