This Cookie Policy explains what we use and why. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which cover how we handle personal data more broadly — this document focuses specifically on cookies.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

Necessary & Authentication Cookies

Set by Clerk, our identity provider, to keep you signed in and keep your session secure. Without these, you wouldn't be able to log in or stay logged in.

Payment & Security Cookies

Set by Stripe while you're checking out to pay for a job listing. These help Stripe process your payment securely and detect fraud. They're only present during checkout.

Analytics Cookies

Set by Google Analytics, which we use to understand overall site usage — which pages get visited and how the site performs. This is aggregate usage data. Analytics cookies are optional. We do not use this to build advertising profiles, and we don't use any advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking pixels.

We do not currently use marketing cookies, behavioral advertising cookies, session-recording tools, heatmaps, or A/B testing cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

3. Third-Party Cookies

The only third parties that set cookies through PatternDesigners today are:

• Clerk — authentication
• Stripe — payment security, during checkout only
• Google Analytics — site analytics

No other third party sets cookies on the site.

4. Managing Cookies

You can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in, and blocking payment cookies may prevent you from completing checkout.

For optional analytics cookies, PatternDesigners provides on-site controls:

• On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you Accept optional analytics cookies or open Cookie Settings.
• You can change your choice later via Manage Cookies in the site footer or from this Cookie Policy page, which opens Cookie Settings.
• In Cookie Settings you can turn analytics cookies on or off, then Save Preferences, or Accept optional analytics cookies.
• If you do not accept analytics cookies, or you save preferences with analytics turned off, Google Analytics does not load and we stop future analytics collection where technically possible. Necessary authentication and payment cookies remain enabled.

These preferences are stored in your browser so we remember your choice on future visits.

5. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if the way we use cookies changes that sets cookies. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above.
